ENLL Stands Together With Canada

ENLL COVID-19 Update - April 14th

East Nepean Members,

As our City continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, I would like to provide all members an update on information for the 2020 Season. Please note that this is based on information available now and may evolve as more information is received.

In early April, Little League International and Little League Canada, made the recommendation to suspend all Little League activities until May 11th, which East Nepean was in agreement with. Since that announcement, the City of Ottawa has announced that all fields within the City will be closed until June 30th, 2020.

As a result, East Nepean would like to advise members that if a 2020 season occurs it will be after June 30th, 2020.

If fields are made available, it remains ENLL's intent to run a season albeit on an altered schedule ( with season dates occurring in the summer months - July and August). We are currently working on options on what the 2020 season may look like, however nothing has been finalized and won't be until further information is received from the City, which we anticipate late Spring.

Once ENLL knows more we will communicate to all members the updated plans for 2020 and if you have not registered, will provided updated registration information at that time.

If you have already registered for the 2020 Spring Season:

We understand that this period of uncertainty is a difficult time for some members and many have questions regarding refunds. ENLL has posted its 2020 Refund policy on its website which can be found here: http://www.eastnepeanbaseball.on.ca/registration . This policy has been amended for this year due to COVID-19.

A member has two options at this time, request a refund or wait until further information is available on the 2020 season time frame.

If a member would like a refund before the schedule is set, please send your request to registration@eastnepeanbaseball.on.ca.

If a 2020 season does not proceed, or the altered schedule of dates for the 2020 season once announced do not work for your family, then a request for a refund can be made at that time.

Please note all refunds will be in full, ENLL has waived for 2020 all administration costs for refunds.

If you have questions about refunds or registrations, please contact Stephanie Elyea, ENLL Registrar at registration@eastnepeanbaseball.on.ca.

Thank you and stay safe during this time.

Bruce Campbell,

President East Nepean Little League

Important Message from ENLL - March 18th

East Nepean Little League Members,

East Nepean Little League has received an updated statement regarding COVID-19 from Little League regarding the start of the 2020 season.

At this time, it is estimated that the season will start in mid- May. East Nepean, continues to monitor the situation closely and consults with the necessary experts and health authorities.

At this time, plans remain for a 2020 season, with a slightly later start date then normal. While a later start date is disappointing, this has occurred in previous seasons due to weather so it is a timeline that East Nepean has accommodated previously with no issues.

We will continue to keep our membership informed as information is received and decisions are made. East Nepean appreciates the support of all our members as we deal with this situation that is evolving and changing almost daily.

Bruce Campbell

President, East Nepean Little League
