Rally Cap Baseball
Where the Love of Baseball Begins
Ages 5–6
Rally Cap is a fun, active introduction to baseball designed especially for our youngest Eagles.
Players learn the fundamentals of hitting, throwing, catching and running the bases through a combination of skill-building activities and short games, all in a positive environment
focused on learning, playing and having fun.
No previous baseball experience is needed. Just bring your glove and get ready to play!

Rally Cap is designed to keep young players moving and engaged.
During each session, players rotate between skill-building activities and mini games, giving them lots of opportunities to practice while experiencing what it's like to play baseball as
part of a team.
Mini games are typically 2–3 innings, with every player getting the opportunity to bat.
Scores aren't kept. At this age, success isn't measured by the scoreboard. It's learning a new skill, making a new friend, gaining confidence and leaving the field excited to come back next
week.
Spring Season
Rally Cap is offered during the Spring season in
May and June on local Nepean baseball diamonds.
Players participate
one evening per week, typically Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Game nights and field locations are assigned closer to the beginning of the season.
What Does My Player Need?
Players Should Bring
- Black batting helmet
- Baseball glove
- Running shoes or plastic cleats
- Protective athletic support (Jock/Jill)
East Nepean Provides
Each player receives:
- Toronto Blue Jays cap — yours to keep
- Team T-shirt — yours to keep
- Socks — yours to keep
- Baseball pants — returned at the end of the season
- Belt — returned at the end of the season
East Nepean also provides the bats and baseballs used throughout the program.
